how is all . Am laid up pulled a muscle in my foot, am really upset as time is important in relation to the cycle. How are you all enjoying the summer . I was in Dublin and visited the modern art gallery . we had a lovely time.

This is the first time I have had a chance to do my blog . I have been really busy with the Arts awards night, t.y. night, leaving cert graduation, public exams and in house exams as well as finishing off all the projects for the masters.

The Arts night was a great success from the art and music point a view. I was really pleased with the mosaic and the designs for the canteen . There was great praise for the students work . The clown project from 1st years looked really spectacular too.

Oh my computer has finally gone cu put . If you all remember i spilt coffee on it but it seemed ok but it has now broken down. I suppose i will have to get a new lap top.

Am just finished correcting the craft exams so i now feel i am on holls .

I spent the day in the museum of modern art Kilmainham . It was the most beautiful day weather wise , I was surrounded by magnificent architecture and gardens. It is such a lovely place. The food , company and art were great.

We saw lots of really interesting exhibitions.

Nearly finished the Mosaic, have painted the frames! the students choose two shades of blue! It looks really nice!!:) What do you think of my new full stops . My daughter did these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is just back from France. Did a 55 mile cycle on Sunday am getting fitter. Nearly finished my lesson plans assignment just to do conclusions.

How is every one am beginning to panic hoping i have enough done on my blog . How are you all doing on yours . It is great to get time to pastelling images . Reading up on artists who worked in portraiture

Aget my head around the next project ( self portrait). Once I get into it i feel it will fine. Roll on next week at least i will have it over and done with. It is sad to be wishing ones life away. Lovely day to day. It was a pity we spent most of it inside. Am very busy next week in school as i have my junior and leaving certificate exams. I wish they would work harder. they can be casual about them. I am also preparing foe our end of year Arts and awards night. The Art and the music departments are working to gether to have entertaining evening

Hope all well. Am very busy in school organising the exams and the end of year Exhibition . My tile project is nearing completion . Am getting excited . I think it is fantastic .

Have started project with 1st years based on Clowns . We did face painting and then dressed up . afterwords we sketched in oil pastells. A little rushed the students really enjoyed it.

Hope every one had a great weekend . Weather was nice and bright but really cold . That northerly wind just kept blowing. I was in Kerry on the Dingle peninsula. I cycled the Connor Pass in desperate conditions so much so we were blown off the bike at the top. We Cycled into Dingle on to Annasull and down to Camp and from there out to the Maharees about 80 kilometers in all .It was very tough. As if the weather conditions were not enough we happened to get a puncture in the pouring rain and driving winds. I am in training for the Hospice Cycle. in July . I have to rais 3,000 euros so I might be asking you all for some sponsership. Hope your assignment on the lesson plan is going well. See you next Saturday .

mosaic and canteen project

Hi all, hope you are well . Great weather after the rain . My plants that i planted last week are growing .I should have lettuce in about three weeks, herbs doing fine also. I purchased sunflower seeds and a number of other seeds so am hoping to plant them to morrow night.

I have uploaded a few more photos of the mural for the school canteen . It is nearly finished . The students and I are very excited about it. We are having a formal Art's and Awards night I am hoping to have an exhibition of the students art and crafts. The music department are singing songs and preforming . Will be in touch.

Well here i am enjoying the freedom of not worring about having to do an essay. Been able to garden, go cycling, sketch and paint , and fix my garden chairs . On Monday we started a kitchen garden. Planted potatoes, onions,lettuce, leek and a number of herbs. It is a family affair. Sean my son who is doing Ag science and ray my husband have taken on the potato section where my daughter Sheleen who is in transition year and I are doing the general vegetables and herbs. I thing I have over watered so I hope they survive.

Great day . Hope you are all enjoying sun shine. I can relax for the first time in a long whild no essey hanging over me. Cycled over to to lismore . It was the most beautifule ride, following the the Blackwater rivervalley with is fertile landscape magestic trees and rolling countryside.

All well I have just printed off my essey on Intellegence and Creativity, its such a great feeling to have it over and done with. Am getting better on the computers and at the typing .Please god i shall be typing my schemes of work next september. Hope every one is enjoying the fine weather . I am out on the bike a lot , I love buss i get from the breese in my face speeding down hills.

After two Weeks of problems with my computers i have finally got the Internet up and running on one of the computers but am still waiting on the other. We finally have holls and the weather breaks . But at least the weekend was great and i got out on my bike.

Finished the term on a high note, did a big clean up of the art room . Its amazing what gives me a high!!!!!!! But it is so nice to go back to a spotless room. I am working on so many projects at the moment. With my 5th years we are doing a tile project based on Dragons . We started with lots of drawing of snakes, reptiles, dinosaurs and dragons from there we did colour studies using different mediums and then imaginative compositions based on these. Having looked at every ones drawings/projects we put together a group idea taking a different element of each students work.
We took one persons head another tail, wing, hind legs etc.and come up with fantastic dragon.
It has been a really interesting project with the students coming back to finish after school.
We are 2/3 of the way through it. I am trying to down load some photographs of it on to my blog but am having difficulty.

Am also doing a really nice project with the transition years. Designing a mural for the end wall of the new canteen. I gave the students their choice of subject, they chose images from computers games such as war craft etc. The students are really excited about it. We are also using the images on the cover of this years school magazine.

Have to go now. Looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow and not been under pressure. We have to have a nice lunch.What do you think!!!!!!

Friday i seem to be getting no where with this blogging. My computer is a problem and it is so long since i have done it i forget. I wish we were given more time on the course to put into prat ice what we learn in class.

have had the most frustrating week virus on my computer . This is my first time to get to do blogging. Got my assignment in on time thank god . School very busy, trying to finish projects for Easter.

Here it is Friday and i have had a very busy week . My two lap tops are giving me trouble, so at the moment i am using part i mac and part laptop. School work going well my t.y. projects are beginning to take shape I took some photographs and i hope to down load them to night.

With the t.y. class we are doing a mural for the new school canteen. The theme was computer games. They each chose their own topic, did preliminary drawings and paintings. Then we combined them.

Have to go to class. Will conclude this to night.

Have managed to up load some photographs of my Arty Crafty Summer Classes based on the circus. Am hoping to up load photo on T.Y. project but can not access them as lap top broken. I have to go now . Will be back to night for more punishment. It is a pity we do not get more time in class to become familiar with the processes of blogging. As I am waisting a lot of time working on my own.

Am having a horrendous day to day. My two lap tops at home have gone kaput. I have just dropped them into be repaired I am sure it will coist me a fortune!!!!! . Called to the school to work there to discover that the internet was down there too. So am at present in my husbunds office trying to calm my nerves. It is a beautiful day again to day. I am sure you are fed up of me going on about the weather but we see so little of these clear blue skys.

Enough of that I must start getting my blogs art education blogs up and running. I had great intentions of sharing my transition year project.
